Toyota Prius

There hasn't been a for sure answer found on the estimated life of the Toyota Prius hybrid battery. There are people who are not getting longevity with their Toyota Prius battery life. Before this started to happen it was found they can run for over 200,000 miles and for about nine years.

The Toyota Prius battery life does last longer compared to the others because of the fact that they get only 60% charged. This also offers scope for regenerative braking. Normally the system usually offers the battery to vary its charge level by a maximum of 10- 15%. Therefore the battery is never allowed to get fully charged.

In the US the entire hybrid system has a warranty of 8 years for 100,000 miles and it does include the Toyota Prius battery life. When you live in California, you can get a longer lasting warranty for your Prius battery. They offer a warranty of 10 years or 150,000 miles.

The 2011 Honda Fit Insight Hybrid Car

After it became famous as a handy car for everyone, customers needed a branded car which marked the creation of Scion XB. After it came into existence, the 103hp and 1.5-liter engine was replaced with a 128-hp and 1.8-liter mill which contained 'variable valve timing' or VTEC for both exhaust and intake cams. Even the previous tires have banished with 195/60HR16s. Now the keyless entry and cruise control facility has become standard.

The new Fit Hybrid is joined in Japan by a subtly refreshed version of the regular gasoline-powered Fit with a 1.3-liter engine. The modest facelift is limited to new grille and bumper (front and rear) designs which are said to help improve the car's aerodynamic efficiency, plus revised tail lamps and updated interior trims.

The new Hybrid Fit shares many similarities

Fuel economy in the Fit is very good as would be expected in a small car. The Fit returns twenty-eight miles per gallon in city driving, and thirty-five miles per gallon on the highway. The Honda Fit accelerates from zero to sixty miles per hour in nine and two-tenths seconds; the little Honda covers the quarter mile in seventeen seconds at a speed of eighty-two miles per hour. The standard feature list on the Fit is quite long. Air conditioning, anti-lock brakes, AM/FM stereo with compact disc player, power steering, and a tachometer are all standard on the Fit. Standard safety features on the Fit include child door locks, engine immobilizer, and side airbags. The Fit received five star crash ratings in government testing for driver front, passenger front, and front side crash testing.

The new Hybrid Fit shares many similarities with the Honda Insight and the current Fit model. It will also make use of the Integrated Motor Assist powertrain and will probably have an electric motor and a 1.3 liter four cylinder engine. It is not definite yet as to when the Fit Hybrid will be released in the United States as an official debut date has not been released yet by Honda. This car would be a great addition to current selection of Honda Hybrid lineup available such as the CR-Z, Insight, and the Civic Hybrid. The new Hybrid Fit shares many similarities
