the Audi A4 is electronic stability

Did you know that it basically took Audi 126.5 million years to finally agree with everyone alive that having a tall 4,6 or 8 cylinder engine set up high and way in front of the front axle does not do wonders to the handling of their front wheel drive sedans? Having driven the current A6, the previous generation A4 (B7 series) as well as the earlier ones too, I have to say that massive understeer is the preferred way for these front wheel drive Audis to corner.

On the B7 A4 I remember driving it hard and it felt so nose heavy that even with a pointy nose it felt as if the steering was the one end of the stick and the other end was the large elephant hanging off of it. That A4 was a pretty good car and in 2.0TFSI form was a fast ride but the high speed handling on a twisty road was really bad. I would assume this trait would be lessened in the Quattro or All wheel drive version of the cars, but in the front wheel drive A4, it basically was awful.

Safety is always a concern with families as you want your car to provide the maximum protection for babies, small children, teenagers, other passengers and the driver. The A4 has driver, passenger, side head and rear head airbags. There is also an air bag on and off switch if you choose to put a car seat in the passenger front seat. The LATCH system used to secure baby car seats is always a must have for parents with young children.

Included in the A4 is electronic stability and traction control along with a 4 wheel anti-lock brake system. There are reinforced cross members on the chassis, the bumpers are reinforced and you can adjust the seat belts so no matter the person's height or weight they are properly strapped in. The Audi A4 received 5 stars (out of 5) for all crash tests as well as some of the highest safety ratings you can get for a vehicle.

New generation 2012 Audi TT RS

Audi has plenty of blown, all-wheel drive metal in its line up, the TT RS is the only to pack a five cylinder powerplant, just like the old Quattro. But unlike the butch 1980s super coupe, the TT RS isn't destined - or designed - for the rally stages; this is a car designed for the road and the track.

Its lively 5-cylinder, 2.5-litre turbocharged engine has been built exclusively for the Audi TT RS.

If the Audi TT missed the mark with its driving dynamics, it would still sell thanks to its stunning looks. But the fact it can mix it with the very best drivers' cars on sale should guarantee it shortlist status on any coupe buyers' shopping list.

2012 Audi TT RS

To launch the hot TT RS - the fastest and most powerful TT yet - Audi has made much of the four-wheel drive and turbocharged connection from its all-conquering Quattro rally car of the 1980s.

The Audi TT makes a style statement like few other cars. Hugely desirable, it's gained an iconic reputation. Ever since the original concept was shown, Audi just had to build the car, such was the demand. By basing the TT on the VW Golf floorpan, the TT could be built economically, while also offering various highly tuned powerplants and four-wheel drive to help put the power down. Now offered in second-generation form, the car is even more accomplished than ever, while also being offered in far more variants to broaden its appeal as far as possible

2011 the Audi A6's interior and exterior

With the debut of its third generation 2008 A6 model, the German-based Audi has succeeded at gaining the reputation as one of the world's premium automakers.
First appearing in 1995 to replace the Audi 100, the A6 was redesigned in 1998 complete with a sportier body, and in the year 2000, performance was boosted with the addition of both the twin-turbo, V6, 2.7 liter engine, and the V8, 4.2 liter.

To increase the car's aesthetics and visual appeal, the A6's interior and exterior were completely redesigned again in 2005, and then updated with several standard features and technological equipment in 2007. Today, the 2008 sedan model is available for buyers with either a V6 or V8 engine and optional all-wheel drive (AWD). The sleek wagon version, the A6 Avant, comes with a standard V6 engine.

Price Range

Priced considerably lower than most of its European competitors, the 2008 Audi A6 has an invoice price range of $39,943 to $52,361, and a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $42,950 to $56,300.

Audi announced that it will reveal the spanking new 2012 A6 Avant next week on Wednesday, May 18, during a special event at the Humboldt Box in Berlin, which will also be broadcasted online. Don’t expect any surprises under the hood, with the Avant model gaining the same range of diesel and gasoline engines (depending on the market, of course) with the option of the firm’s Quattro all-wheel drive system.

Talking about all-wheel drive, aside from the standard Avant model, Audi is also believed to be readying a replacement for its high-riding soft crossover, the A6 Allroad Quattro.

New Audi A6 model

Based on the performance, the newer C4 variant of Audi A6 was launched that included 4.2L V8 engine with 286 bhp. In the year 1997, Audi announced the launch of an advanced version of A6 car with a modified engine as well as other features. In the automobile market, this car gave a healthy competition to the famous Mercedes-Benz's E-class and BMW 5-series cars.

This car was designed in Italy with a low co-efficient of drag of just 0.28. Audi C5 got the place among Ten Best list in the Car and Driver magazine in 2000 as well as 2001. From the engine point of view, a new technology of five speeds Tiptronic Automatic Transmission was used in place of manual transmission.

Whether you consider the first ever Audi A6 model or the latest 2010 A6, every single model in the line-up meant serious business, and presented a great option to all the business class automotive customers.

the new Audi A6 saloon Coming in German automotive luxury

As far as German automotive luxury goes, you can't really get much better than an Audi. Their A6 model is the bigger brother of the A4 and manages to knock everything that is great about its little brother up to an even higher notch. Cool, classy business motoring is the call of the day with the A6 - with the line-up sporting 3 variations. As is common with Audi, each variation fills the place in its intended market perfectly. The typical A6 will appeal to businessmen and those wanting the looks and desirability of a saloon car, while the Avant and Allroad Quattro will appeal to those wanting that same style but with the space of an estate or that off-road feel.

The model of focus today is the new A6 saloon, which has recently been given a 2012 facelift and is due for release in April this year. Aesthetically it has undergone quite a change, with a completely new front end paying very close resemblance to that of their supercar the Audi R8. Having officially taken ideas from the A8 model, the headlights are now angled and curve around the edge of the body to give it that mean, aggressive stare, and the grill has been redesigned to be sharper and more edgy. The bodywork has also undergone considerable change from last year's model; with a far sleeker design. What results in the redesign is a car that carries a business like class with it, while also still harbouring a mean sporty glance. It works surprisingly well and the A6 manages to maintain its class despite its edge.

Need some tips on how to change the engine oil on your Audi A6 Quattro? No problem. When it comes to Audi a6 parts, there are a few things you will need to handle. Follow these steps for success.

1. Make sure you have these items, a new Mann oil filter, a 6 Quarts 5w40 synthetic motor oil, and of course an oil wrench. For better air flow and drainage, warm up the car's oil by turning on the ignition.

2. Place your car on a ramp and lift it up from the ground. A jack is a useful tool for this operation.

3. Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the cover underneath the front of the car to get access to the engine oil filter.

4. Then you want to locate the oil filter as well as the oil drain plug. Remove the drain plug carefully with the use of an adjustable wrench. Be sure that you're ready with an oil bucket because hot oil will begin to ooze out.

5. Let the oil drain in a catch bucket for a few minutes.

6. Remove the oil filter with the use of the filter wrench. Be prepared because there will usually be some oil left over in the filter.

7. Before you place the new filter, the old one should be dabbed with oil on its contact surfaces. For less than two dollars, you can get a new drain plug. This is highly recommended.

8. After everything below is properly drained, replaced, and put into place tightly, it's time to open up the hood. Fill up with some fully synthetic 5w40 motor oil as was specified by Audi. It will top off at around six liters. After your car is on a flat surface, be sure to double check our oil level.

Test performance the Audi R8 V10 Spyder

Audi's R8 V10 is also unique in many aspects. The body's aluminum-composite construction is a newer material that provides the ultimate strength with a lighter weight than most other carbon materials. There's also a thorough safety feature on board, called the Bosch ESP 8.0 Electronic Stability Programme. This includes ABS, distribution, regulation, differential and airbag features.

For most car enthusiasts, Audi's R8 is just another in a long line of sleek-looking sports cars without the powerhouse V10 engine. The V10 is basically the same engine used in the super-fast Lamborghini, only with a few improvements.

Audi's R8 V10 uses a 5.2 liter FSI internal combustion engine. It can reach a top speed (electronically controlled) of 200 MPH and can reach 60 MPH in only 3.9 seconds. The V10 produces 516 horsepower and, overall, the R8 costs around $146,000 USD.

The seats in the sports models will be trimmed in full leather. The seats produced by Quattro GmbH will be equipped in the next generation model and these will provide more comfort to the driver as well as passenger. The folded third row seats will provide ample space for cargo. The standard features that are expected to be provided in the 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI include 18 inch alumina wheels, Xenon plus lights, anti theft alarm, LED rear lights, leather interior trim and an audio system with 7-inch monitor.

2011 Audi Q5 highly Quality Of Interior

The engine utilizes a dual overhead cam valve train that requires premium unleaded gasoline. All of this power is shifted through a 6 speed automatic transmission with the "tiptronic" feature that is fed to all four wheels through Audi's "quattro" all wheel drive system. The Audi Q5 powerplant is able to push the crossover through the quarter mile in fifteen and one half seconds at a maximum speed of ninety-three miles per hour. The engine also returns a zero to sixty acceleration time of seven and one-tenth seconds.

Yet despite all of this performance, the Audi is also very thrifty in the fuel economy department. The Environmental Protection Agency has rated the Q5 at eighteen miles per gallon in city driving, and twenty-three miles per gallon in highway driving. And lest we forget that this is a crossover vehicle, the Audi Q5 has the ability to tow four thousand four hundred pounds when properly fitted. The Audit Q5 is a well-rounded vehicle that has a variety of abilities for the the active driver.

The off-road detection system has been installed into Q5 models in order to offer a response to mud, snow and gravel road conditions. Working together to provide drivers with superior handling, the anti-lock braking system and traction control offer dual action on rough terrains.

Lane Assist technology has been installed in Q5's to monitor any drifting from the lanes. In addition to this system, the side assist detects any vehicles that creep into your vehicle's blind spot and provides proper feedback regarding traffic.

Audi's Q5 Adaptive Headlights respond to changes in your steering as you drive around bends or curvatures in the roadway. These swiveling headlights offer a broader field of view for the driver.

Safety Features

While impressive advancements in technology have been made, Audi has also made advancements in the areas of safety to ensure an overall safe driving experience is had by all.

Using a combination of four different braking systems, Audi has developed an Advanced Braking System made up of ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation), EBD (Electronic brake-force distribution), EDL (Electronic differential lock) and ABS (Anti-lock braking system). Forming a cohesive braking unit, these systems work to grant drivers a safer experience especially when driving in less than ideal conditions. The systems are designed to detect the intended direction of the vehicle and assist in stabilizing and controlling the car in a manner that is safe. As well, Q5's are equipped with a brake drying system designed to reduce stopping distances that are caused by wet brakes.

ABS

Upon detection of a skid, the anti-lock braking system temporarily releases and then re-applies the force of braking. Stopping distances have been greatly decreased as a result of ABS systems.

ASR

Audi's Anti-slip regulation used primarily for traction control is used to reduce power to any wheels that may be in danger of spinning out. When the system detects that traction has once again been restored, the power is also restored to the wheels.

EBD

Both the Electronic brake-force distribution systems and ABS work in harmony to ensure superior performance of the braking systems between the rear and front wheels.

EDL

Regardless of the degree of traction of types of road surfaces, the Electronic differential lock is equipped to offer drivers a smooth getaway.

Airbags and Child Safety have been addressed in the Audi Q5 model by providing car seat locking points to securely fasten a child seat into the vehicle, as well as an airbag system that can be de-activated to protect child passengers.

Engine Performance

Audi's Q5 advances in engine technology has now made it difficult to drivers to decide on petrol or diesel engines as both perform at superior levels of excellence. These added technologies have been able to boost the power and torque, reduce engine emissions and provide drivers with a fuel savings.
