Priced considerably lower than most of its European competitors, the 2008 Audi A6 has an invoice price range of $39,943 to $52,361, and a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $42,950 to $56,300.

Audi announced that it will reveal the spanking new 2012 A6 Avant next week on Wednesday, May 18, during a special event at the Humboldt Box in Berlin, which will also be broadcasted online. Don’t expect any surprises under the hood, with the Avant model gaining the same range of diesel and gasoline engines (depending on the market, of course) with the option of the firm’s Quattro all-wheel drive system.

Need some tips on how to change the engine oil on your Audi A6 Quattro? No problem. When it comes to Audi a6 parts, there are a few things you will need to handle. Follow these steps for success.

1. Make sure you have these items, a new Mann oil filter, a 6 Quarts 5w40 synthetic motor oil, and of course an oil wrench. For better air flow and drainage, warm up the car's oil by turning on the ignition.

2. Place your car on a ramp and lift it up from the ground. A jack is a useful tool for this operation.

3. Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the cover underneath the front of the car to get access to the engine oil filter.

4. Then you want to locate the oil filter as well as the oil drain plug. Remove the drain plug carefully with the use of an adjustable wrench. Be sure that you're ready with an oil bucket because hot oil will begin to ooze out.

5. Let the oil drain in a catch bucket for a few minutes.

6. Remove the oil filter with the use of the filter wrench. Be prepared because there will usually be some oil left over in the filter.

7. Before you place the new filter, the old one should be dabbed with oil on its contact surfaces. For less than two dollars, you can get a new drain plug. This is highly recommended.

8. After everything below is properly drained, replaced, and put into place tightly, it's time to open up the hood. Fill up with some fully synthetic 5w40 motor oil as was specified by Audi. It will top off at around six liters. After your car is on a flat surface, be sure to double check our oil level.
